"A different kind of possession"

Films: The Beast Within (1982)

Alias: Billy Connors, Michael MacCleary

Type: Mystical

Location: Forest/Civilized area

Height/Weight: That of average humans.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: When most people think of spirits possessing the living, their imaginations don't tend to wander that much. Then this thing showed up and made us all reconsider.

History: Long ago, the slightly unhinged Billy Connors died chained up to a wall. As it turns out, he had practiced some ancient shaman magic so that whoever he raped would be cursed to birth a child as a vessel for Billy's soul to rise again. Sure enough, his last victim's 17-year old kid Michael was starting to feel a second personality creep up within. That of Billy...

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After overtaking Michael's body and mutating into an insectoid monster, Billy manages to sexually assault another girl before betting blasted with a shotgun to the face. He could very well turn up again in a new body...

Powers/Abilities: By infecting another person with his genes, his soul can pop up in the offspring, and trigger a horrid metamorphosis.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 4-Rape as a superpower? Already very nasty. But then there's that transformation sequence of his. Cronenberg would be proud.

Trivia: -This film and "The Howling" were pioneers in the "air-bladder" special effects make-up technique. It allowed for some...interesting transformation sequences.

-This was the first film script by Tom Holland.

Overselling it or not? You make the call.

Puberty kinda sucks.
The facade this mask hides is quite murderous.

I'll get the shotgun. It's quicker than a knife.

"Where's...my...cocaine?!"

Oh, yeah. That's totally a cicada.
